The primary responsibility for this position is to perform, manage, and monitor tasks with an emphasis in meeting customer expectations as it pertains to timely and accurate submission of deliverables. The Engineering Technician will work under the direction of Senior Engineering Technicians, Supervisors, and Engineering Manager to provide specifications, data deliverables, reports, and calculations to deliver and support Osmose services and products.


  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of basic engineering concepts, such as strength of materials, loads on structures and member forces, and reactions is desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft computer software including Microsoft Access, Excel, And Word.
  • Experience with Lua, C++, C#, VB, or other programming languages desired.
  • Experience with GIS desired.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Perform Pole Loading Analyses (PLA) and Make Ready Engineering (MRE) designs using O-Calc Pro.
  • Review pole data collected in field for accuracy of existing attachments.
  • Create analysis reports of PLA’s and MRE’s as part of the customer deliverables.
  • Manage assignments and meet/exceed production goals.
  • Coordinate with Field Management.
  • Use data/project management systems to document and track model progress.
  • Be willing to assist other Project Teams if work flow requirements dictate.
  • Track and report on progress of production projects. Track time spent on various projects and customers. Maintain schedules and project forecasts
  • Contribute to other related projects and plans not specifically noted necessary to obtain the objectives of the Operations Group.
