Overview

Reporting to the VP Human Resources, the Payroll Manager administers payroll and related activities in a multi-state environment with multiple pay groups primary using the company's proprietary timekeeping system as well as Kronos. Serves as the company’s liaison with union representatives, auditors, and regulatory agencies. Responsible for preparing multi-state taxes and processing quarter-end payroll. Supervises payroll team.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience managing a multi-state payroll department, including staff
  • Working knowledge of HR/Payroll database software - PeopleSoft, UltiPro and Kronos preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Access
  • Working experience processing payroll taxes at the federal, state and local levels
  • Previous union experience and interpretting collective bargaining agreements a plus
  • CPP designation a plus
