Overview

This position will serve as a Project Manager and also contribute to process reengineering and process improvement initiatives including analyzing and documenting existing processes and working with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

 

The Project Manager participates in the development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation and works directly with company operations, delivery, engineering, business development and management teams to ensure the project objectives are aligned and with the contracted scope of work. The Project Manager may be required to represent Osmose in project meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical degree preferred (engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business or other very quantitative mathematical field) plus 7- 10 years professional experience including cost accounting; utility or utility services industry management preferred
  • Must have demonstrated reengineering and business process experience, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint (MS Access and MS Visio helpful), and the ability to lead presentations with confidence
  • PMP Certification through PMI is preferred
  • Willingness to work varied hours whenever necessary to achieve the desired results; occasional overnight travel required (5-15%)

Responsibilities

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contracted work scope specifications; effectively mitigate project risk as needed.
  • Formulate reports by extracting required data from various sources concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling, for internal and external distribution.
  • Reengineer processes and suggest efficient working procedures that satisfy the organization’s business goals and objectives.
  • Focus on driving measurable improvements by deploying Process Improvement / Lean / Six Sigma principles.
  • Implement and adhere to the project management process and methodology (PMI)Work with Osmose Operations and Business Development Managers to plan, organize and direct project activities, as well as mitigate project issues and customer complaints.
  • Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
  • Track and reconcile revenue, cost of goods, accruals, and customer invoices.
