  • Data Technician (Production Technician)

  • Overview

    The primary responsibility of this entry-level position is to perform, manage, and monitor tasks with an emphasis in meeting customer expectations by providing timely and accurate submission of data deliverables.

    Responsibilities

    • Verify new/proposed wire attachments meet industry and client requirements.
    • Develop new/proposed attachment plan for clearance violations.
    • Review pole data collected in field for accuracy of existing attachments.
    • Perform Pole Loading Analyses (PLA) and Make Ready Engineering (MRE) designs using O-Calc Pro.
    • Create analysis reports of PLA’s and MRE’s as part of the customer deliverables
    • Manage assignments and meet/exceed production goals.
    • Coordinate related activities with field management.
    • Use data/project management systems to document and track model progress.
    • Be willing to assist other teams if work flow requirements dictate.
    • Track and report on progress of production projects; track time spent on various projects and customers to ensure accurate customer invoicing.
    • Maintain schedules and project forecasts.

    Qualifications

    • Associates Degree preferred but not required; technical, GIS, or engineering background preferred.
    • Experience or background in overhead utilities desired.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft computer software including Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word required.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
